He didn't slam you or bump you. He rubbed you. Rubbing is racing.

Thank you Rush, Glen, Sarah. Thank you Fox news,Drudge and Liz Cheney. Thank you Joe Wilson,Chuck Grassley, and Michelle Bachman. Most of all, thank you John McCain. Because of the sum total of your greed, bias, paranoia and political agenda, one of the highest ranking officers and his inner circle felt it was OK to make fun of and de- legitimize this President, Vice President and those this administration assigned the task of keeping this country safe and winning a unwinnable war. If Gen. McChrystal felt safe enough to speak about his superiors the way he did in front of a stranger, a civilian outsider… a reporter for a liberal magazine, just how free were they in front of other officers, military personal and soldiers at the front with their disdain?

We know now that John McCain would sell the “maverick” off his back to win an election, but in the summer of 2008 that wasn’t as apparent. Sure, we knew he wanted to win the election that year, what we didn’t know was just how far he was willing to go, not until he tapped Sarah Palin. Sarah was a no body in the world of politics, she was a hot Governor who had a certain backwoods charm about her, but she was unschooled, unconventional and as it turned out unpredictable. She was also willing to go after her opponent in any “Dick Cheney” way she was told to.

NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 25: Republican vice-pres...

As with any other Vice Presidential candidate she was tasked with the job of being the attack-dog of the campaign. The Presidential candidate cannot be the one to blatantly attack his rival, its unbecoming of the image he is trying to put forth. A gentlemen, a statesmen, a leader can not be seen as petty and whiny, it makes him look weak and unfitting of the title President of the United States, so the Vice Presidential candidate has traditionally been tasked with the job of being the ‘pit bull’ who attacks his foe.

Enter Sarah.

I don’t blame Sarah too much for the type of politician she’s turned out to be because she sadly never had a chance. She was a small town girl thrust into the biggest arena on the planet. One night she was an unknown and the next minute she was historic. Every eye in this country (and a vast number outside this country) was looking at this newcomer and wondering “who was she”, “what can she offer”, and more than anything else “What the fuck?”

Over the next few days it turned out that it wasn’t just the rest of us who didn’t know a thing about her, but the campaign that tapped her was clueless also. But by that time who cared, she was hot! Her wink, her smile, her red-bloodedness. The GOP salivated at the possibilities… could she deliver ? That answer was a straight up, resounding.. You Betcha!

From pal’ing around with terrorists, to “Thanks, but no thanks!” they loved her. There was a visceral reaction to the Democrat candidate, his name and his color struck a deep chord in people. I’m not going to argue that, those who know it, know it. Those who ignore it, ignore it.Those who don’t see it it, never will. But it was there and Sarah tapped into that. She outright lied about her “No Thanks” to the bridge to no where and what was the reaction? “Who cares! Leave the woman alone and stop attacking her! Did you see her wink?” Very early on the campaign learned that this woman could say what she wanted and it didn’t matter. People loved her and would accept her word as gospel and then defend her against anyone or anything that tried to correct her. She very quickly became untouchable.

“We want to fight,

and I will fight,

but we will be respectful.

I admire Senator Obama

and his accomplishments

and I will respect him,”

McCain said at a Minnesota rally.

I’m not going to rehash her campaign rhetoric, we know what her job was and how well she did it. She was the attack dog who started the process of de- legitimizing the President and forever tainting him as a Muslim, a friend of the terrorist, a Socialist. Like any child who is given praise for doing something well that an adult rehearsed with them, she learned to take it farther and farther. It was never meant to go as far as it did, but she’s just so damn cute when she does it so why would we stop her?

Even though Sarah Palin took on big oil and the result was a redistribution of their wealth to the pockets of every Alaskan, it was Barack Hussein Obama who was the enemy of democracy. At one point, it looked like John McCain might have actually come to his senses and realized what he was allowing was the same thing that had been done to him by George W Bush and ‘illegitimate black child’ attack he waged against McCain during his first run at office. All of a sudden, it was like he stepped up and once again became the Maverick we could be proud of when he corrected a woman in his audience who was afraid of that “Arab”. But shortly after that, he once again threw the maverick off his back, never to don that title again.

“I want everyone to be respectful

and let’s make sure we are,

because that is the way that politics

should be conducted in

America.”-John McCain

And so it went.. the socialist, the Nazi, the racist, the Muslim Arab who was not even born in this country was elected. But the process of taking him down didn’t stop there, it only intensified. For a brief moment there, after the flubbing at the swearing in process.. there was actually hope that he could be ignored as the voice of authority in this county because he didn’t say the oath of office properly. Yes! We’re saved! He didn’t swear the oath, he is not the real president, we do not have to listen to him! But, like everything else.. this was taken from Obama’s opponents when he re-took the oath the next day.

It’s interesting to look back on now, it seems on that night in November a section of the population looked around and said.. Oh God, what have we done! Since then everything that can be done, has been done to take away any power this president had. We watched as a lowly congressman was cheered when he heckled the president at an address before Congress. We’ve watched our most popular conservative voices call him a racist, and speak of his ‘regime’ and then rewarded them for it. We’ve seen everything from his ears, his use of a teleprompter to his impressive education as reasons for contempt for him. In 2004 “Flip-Flop” was a political death sentence. Since the rise of Sarah Palin though, the practice of being one both sides of an issue(sometimes at the same time on different networks) has become a staple in this country.Extremism and Conspiracy were words used to belittle and negate liberals now they are mainstream and visionary. Who cares if you agree that there are Death Panels and plugs to pull on grandma, who cares if you want to criminalize the census while pounding away at Washington to follow the Constitution because the census is taking concentration camp RSVP’s, who cares if you scream YOU LIE at the leader of the country when it’s really you who are lying. Who cares! Leave them alone, stop it with the “Gotcha media”.. we don’t care if they are lying this guy is an Arab who pals around with terrorists for God’s sake!

This long and winding road we’ve been on has a new victim. Stanley Allen McChrystal, one of the most disciplined men in uniform. The man who sleeps for just 4 hours a night, jogs 8 miles a day rain or shine and eats only one meal… This career officer, who graduated from West Point, who spent his entire adult life in the military, was the son of a career military father was so confident in his position, and the stability of the “who cares, it’s the gotcha media who is at fault for not investigation the birth certificate of this ineligible presidency”crowd that he went on record and trashed his superior officers in a civilian liberal magazine. Either that, or he just didn’t know what he was saying was wrong and didn’t understand the person in the room with him was writing it all down.

No, I just don’t believe he didn’t know. I believe that he’s watched how over the last 18+ months, this President from his speech patterns to his birth place has been reduced to a either a powerless, naive, community organizer who is dangerously incapable of leadership or he is a tyrant, destroying the very fabric of this country and should thus be revolted against. I believe the General felt he would be insulated the same way he was insulated when he covered up the fratricidal death of Pat Tillman and protected the same way he was protected when he extorted 30,000 troops from the President. He was given carte blanche by the people who didn’t care how outrageous the attack was, as long as it made into the Foxnews channel and conservative talk shows conversation. He was emboldened by all those before him and while he should be hanging in head in shame for the dismissal of the president and his advisers in a time of war, on the eve of a ‘make or break’ offensive he is instead exalted as the newly crowned Prince of the Right. McChrystal/Palin 2012 prayers are already out on the blogsophere. You don’t have to scroll through but a very few comments on any article dealing with this issue before you see the ignorant ramblings of the ‘we don’t care, he’s an Arab!” crowd.

 • it’s funny when some 1 supposed to be [sic]cammander and chief knows nothing about military are anything else and has to be told what to say and do by his advisers can hold a position as he does? all he’s good at is flapping his mouth. i’m glad this general spoke his mind. so what his in the military he still has a voice and opinion. this ‘so call’ code come on.
 • Big, big mistake. Obama’s inability to accept criticism demonstrates the fragility of his leadership abilities. This move suggests that Obama and his team will not tolerate opposing viewpoints on matters that are crucial to our national security. At least the man will be a “one-termer.”
 • Obama looks like the tiny, petulant dictator that many of us have suspected he is all along. His theatrical bombast about General McChrystal just proves that Obama’s a tiny, incompetent fool.
 • McChrystal gets the last laugh, because so many of us see what he and so many of our military see–that their “commander in chief” commands absolutely nothing,

The same people who are screaming about tyranny and the dictator that is this president are saluting and celebrating the military general who belittled his civilian commanders in magazine article. The words “Forgive them Father, they know not what they do” ring through air and are ironically missed by the ones who devote their life to speaker of those words.

General McChrystal is another victim of the “Gotcha Media”. The Hannity’s out there are more upset with him for giving an interview to someone other than themselves than they are in what he said. They’ve skipped over the subtle implications of what was said and absolute destruction of the moral of the soldier fighting in this war. They can’t see how the words “clown and intimidated” when spoken by the military leader about the civilian authority can pit one soldier against the other and give fodder to our enemy to use to their advantage. They can’t see it because they just don’t care. They want this Muslim, Marxists out of power because Sarah told them how Barack Hussein, pal’ed around with terrorists.

I’m not saying that I think Sarah Palin made Gen. McChrystal give that interview. I’m saying that people were starting to wake up around the end of 2006 and look around and get pretty unhappy with what they were seeing. Coming awake ’07-’08 during a continuous campaign season like they had been Rip Van Winkle for 10 years and finding their lives were going to shit, their jobs were non-existent, the houses they were told they could re-mortgage into a better loan were defaulting. Banks were giving their CEO’s millions of dollars in bonus’ while their secretaries and janitors were applying for welfare. They didn’t trust anyone anymore. All that was needed was something to light the fuse that had been laying there waiting to be lit. Sarah Palin was it, in her they saw what they thought they wanted from their leaders and they were willing to ignore every lie she told and believe like it was gospel every exaggeration she spewed forth with because they want so badly for her to be genuine. Palin was just as much of a victim as they were. She was told that it was her job to become the pit bull, only no one told her that didn’t mean she was to be the pit-bull rabies and a thorn in it’s foot. She was a n00b to the Big Show and was just never able to learn the rules of the game, the only rule she knew was simply ‘Rubbin is racing’. With her though, came an era where politicians are belittled and lied about, that part is not new but it has been amplified to the point were even the military feels they are no longer subservient to their civilian commanders. The scariest part of all of this is that these same people will break the rules that this country was founded on for anyone who they feel agrees with them, hears them, listens and will help them. They are babes waiting to be exploited. The next generation will either be the last or the greatest of this country. We will either break every rule, code and constitutional freedom we’ve fought long and hard for in the hopes of creating the unattainable Utopia we had when we were children and someone else took of things for us, or we’ll shake out it and come together; putting the mistrust, the cynicism and the anger away and somehow become greater than we’ve ever dreamed of. Rome attained greatness and withered away, England did the same…the question we have to answer is, will we?

I've seen it all…

and it’s all going to be down hill from here.

I’ve seen this president mocked and belittled for his ears.. not altogether unfair or unheard of (no pun intended) to mock the physical characteristics of a person.

I’ve seen him de-legitimized for his teleprompter usage… strange, considering most every other speech giver also uses a teleprompter, unless it’s Sarah Palin, she just uses her hand because she’ so environmentally friendly.

I’ve seen every criticism there is thrown at this man, some deserved, some over the top and some just plain stupid, hateful, bigoted and biased. Until today, I thought I’d seen it all.

Language guru: Obama speech too ‘professorial’ for his target audience

(CNN) — President Obama’s speech on the gulf oil disaster may have gone over the heads of many in his audience, according to an analysis of the 18-minute talk released Wednesday.

Tuesday night’s speech from the Oval Office of the White House was written to a 9.8 grade level, said Paul J.J. Payack, president of Global Language Monitor. The Austin, Texas-based company analyzes and catalogues trends in word usage and word choice and their impact on culture.

Though the president used slightly less than four sentences per paragraph, his 19.8 words per sentence “added some difficulty for his target audience,” Payack said.

Well, there you have it folks.. the guy is aloof, uncaring, not up to par, unemotional and disconnected because he talked to the country like 10th graders.

Let’s just impeach the guy and get it over it with. Seriously people, if we’re going to take our criticism of the man to the point of “he talked smart to people” what the hell is there left to criticize him for?

What a sad, fucked up society we are when it comes down to finding fault with our leader, not because he can, but because he did have an educated and adult conversation with us. It’s no wonder so many in this country love the Sarah Palin’s of the world… It isn’t that we think she should talk like an idiot because we find it charming, it’s because we are idiots and want everything spoon-fed to us by mommy. If we have to think for ourselves.. well that’s just too much work! Gimme the guy who I can drink a beer with instead of the guy who can not only spell the word ‘Brewery’, but use it in a 19.8 word sentence.

Does the GOP think BI-partisanship means BI-sexual?

So.. I guess the Obama health plan is bipartisan and does include GOP ideas..

“It’s clear that the American people want health insurance reform. They aren’t interested in Democratic ideas or Republican ideas. They’re interested in the best ideas to reduce costs, guarantee choices and ensure the highest quality care.

They’re interested in ideas that will put them back in control of their own health care.

Throughout the debate on health insurance reform, Republican concepts and proposals have been included in legislation. In fact, hundreds of Republican amendments were adopted during the committee mark-up process. As a result, both the Senate and the House passed key Republican proposals that are incorporated into the President’s Proposal.”

A lot of GOP ideas… and that’s just Obama’s plan.. hell the Senate plan had 160 GOP amendments..

“Of the 788 amendments filed,67 came from Democrats and 721 from Republicans. (That disparity drew jeers that Republicans were trying to slow things down. Another explanation may be that they offered so many so they could later claim—as they are now, in fact, claiming—that most of their suggestions went unheeded.) Only 197 amendments were passed in the end—36 from Democrats and 161 from Republicans. And of those 161 GOP amendments, Senate Republicans classify 29 as substantive and 132 as technical.”

of course they still voted no..

Why is the only way to bipartisan cooperation is if the Democrats fully embrace the GOP plan? Shouldn’t the losing party be happy to get a seat at the table.. a seat that gives them almost half of everything they want? Is a bill with 49% (R) input and 51%(D) input not bipartisan enough when the country elected the (D) to decide the majority?

I simply don’t get how the GOP can get away with lying that there’s been no effort to include them. But,even more than that, I can’t understand this demand that they should have their way in total if the country is to see any bipartisanship come out of congress. Is it the prefix ‘Bi’ that throws them? Do they think if they do anything ‘Bi” then they are supporting the homo’s? (disclosure, I love the ‘mo’s.. and this one will back me up on that).

What?

Can you come up with a better reason why the GOP is so anti ‘BI-partisanship” even going so far as to deny it exists when the bipartisan components are so flamboyantly displayed?

Let's just eliminate that dog.

This is who you protect when you wish for Obama to “fail”. This is the side you have chosen to stand with, protect and help defend.

Insurer ends health program

rather than pay out big

// dctile) document.write(‘n’);
// ]]>

// dctile) document.write(‘n’);
// ]]>

Ian Pearl has fought for his life every day of his 37 years. Confined to a wheelchair and hooked to a breathing tube, the muscular dystrophy victim refuses to give up.

But his insurance company already has.

Legally barred from discriminating against individuals who submit large claims, the New York-based insurer simply canceled lines of coverage altogether in entire states to avoid paying high-cost claims like Mr. Pearl’s.

In an e-mail, one Guardian Life Insurance Co. executive called high-cost patients such as Mr. Pearl “dogs” that the company could “get rid of.”

That’s right, Mr. Pearl, is a “Dog” that the company needs to “Get rid of”

Let’s put this is perspective for just a second. I told you about a friend of mine recently to try and put a face many of us know on this healthcare debate. I wanted Chuck’s story to be on everyone’s mind as they were regurgitating the latest poison from Glenn Beck’s mouth. I wanted people to have a visual of the person they were condemning in their almost orgasmic need to have a United States President fail. A failure that some of these people dream of, masturbate to…pray for every chance they get. “At all costs” is the motto, “At any cost” is the pledge.

I failed of course, not even the plight of a great man and amazing friend to many of us made a scratch in the shell that surrounds these ideologues.

So I will try again.

Instead of Mr. Pearl, who has the same condition as Chuck, I want to you again put Chuck’s name, his face, his interaction with you, his “self”.. put him in this story. Does that do anything for you ideologues? Can you sit there and hear that Chuck is just a “Dog” who needs to be gotten “rid of” because he dared to buy an insurance policy, he dared to pay it, he dared to get a debilitating degenerative disease and most of all he dared to not die quickly enough? The company that waspaid to cover health costs can’t cancel one ‘dog’ because it would be against the law, so they just cancel an entire state of ‘dogs’. Is there any face I can put on this problem that will make a dent?

You may say “Oh but Kelly, I’m sure the courts will stop the insurance company from canceling everyone with this kind if policy. I’m sure a judge will see that this man, Mr. Pearl will die if this insurance company is allowed to cancel his policy.” But you would be wrong.

A federal court quickly ruled that the company’s actions were legal, so on Dec. 1, barring an order by the federal Department of Health and Human Services, Mr. Pearl will lose his benefits.

So much for that ‘check and balance’.

For those that abhor government intervention, will you cry with Glenn Beck if the Health “Czar” Kathleen Sebelius orders the company to live up to it’s contract.

Sadly, we all know the answer to that… Yes, yes you will.

Will those of you who even thought about trying to explain just how President Obama was creating “Death Panels” care to pick up your pitchfork against this actual ‘death panel’? Mr. Pearl needs 24 hr nursing care, he is on a ventilator and needs hourly breathing treatments and continuous intravenous medication. Without this he will die, here is your Death Panel Sara Palin, will you ‘tweet’ about how evil this is? Will you take hundreds of thousand of dollars for a speech on this kind of injustice, will the people who aped your stupidity write Mr. Pearl or even Chuck’s name on a sign and demand they not be forgotten?

Sadly, we know the answer to that is.. no, no you won’t.

Guardian, a 150-year-old mutual company, reported profits of $437 million last year, a 50 percent increase over $292 million in 2007. It paid dividends of $723 million to policyholders and had $4.3 billion in capital reserves, according to its annual report. The company’s investment income totaled $1.5 billion that year, a small increase from the year earlier.

This is who you protect with your hatred of a President. This is who you protect with your ‘at any cost’ ideologue.

“In an e-mail to four other Guardian executives entered into evidence in the Pearls’ suit, company Vice President Tim Birely discussed how the company could “eliminate this entire block to get rid of the few dogs.”

.. and don’t think you can get away with the argument of “Well, you Democrats are in power now and we can’t do anything stop you.” It’s condescending, it’s insincere and it’s bullshit. Most insulting of all.. you know it, snicker and use it anyway.

20 years ago a friend of mine took a ride with a person he had just recently started hanging around. He didn’t know him too well but he seemed cool and they got along. That night the new guy told my friend he was going to rob a local mom & pop grocer for some extra cash. My friend wasn’t a violent person, he wasn’t a criminal, he wasn’t a bad person in any way… but he because he was 17 and stupid he didn’t speak up.

The new guy went into the store while my friend waited in the car, he could have left at that point but for whatever reason he didn’t. After a few minutes the new guy came running back out, jumped in the car and away they went. They never spoke of what went on inside the store and it wasn’t until the next morning when the police showed up at his parents house to arrest him that my friend found out that the store owner had been shot and killed by the new guy. My friend was tried and convicted as an accessory to the crime and is on death row awaiting his date with the executioner. Does he deserve to die for a crime he had no part in? Some would say yes he does, but then again.. they would also be the ones to tell Mr. Pearl to go out and get a job if he wants health care.

The real “Dog” here isn’t Mr. Pearl and it isn’t Chuck or any of the other poor souls who have paid their premiums each month only to have them canceled because they did not die quick enough. The real “dogs” are the insurance company who cares more about an enormous bottom line over the lives they are supposed to be protecting. You all fighting reform at all costs.. at any cost, this is the dog you have allowed into your bed by not saying anything even when you know what they are doing is not only wrong, dangerous and against humanity, but could possibly be murderous. Just like the saying “Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas” this is on you whether you like it or not.

Lindsey Graham is currently finding that sad fact out. Arlen Specter and Colin Powell could have told him, but a conservative republican of Grahams stature, with his conservative record would have ignored their warnings just as the rest of the ideologues will ignore this liberal’s warning. When you go against the beast you create, the beast you’ve allowed to take over to fight your battle for you, when you go against it… you pay their price. It’s apropos that Graham is now the one to fight off charges that can not be defended because they have no basis in reality. “Fake Republican,” “RINO” (Republican in name only), a “traitor,” “disgrace,” “asshat,” “democrat in drag,” and a “wussypants, girly-man, half-a-sissy”.

The beast you fed, nurtured, appeased every step of the way while pretending “that’s not what my belief..it’s theirs”.. and “Hey, you guys are in power not us”.. that beast is self-aware and is devouring your party. That is who your next leaders will have no choice but to cater to. The metaphorically date with the executioner that you await for being an accessory to the crime, would be justice in and of itself if so many truly innocent people weren’t being punished along with you. Don’t believe there are ‘truly innocent’ people being punished? Well, I give you one final story

17-Pound, 4-Month-Old Baby

Denied Health Insurance

for Being Too Fat

Underwriters, the people who are in charge of assessing risk for insurance companies, have decided that baby Alex’s pre-existing condition — obesity — makes him a high-risk patient and have denied him coverage.

His parents were shocked.

“I could understand if we could control what he’s eating. But he’s 4 months old. He’s breast-feeding. We can’t put him on the Atkins diet or on a treadmill,” joked his frustrated father, Bernie Lange, a part-time news anchor at KKCO-TV in Grand Junction. “There is just something absurd about denying an infant.”

The beast you continue to actively support or just ignore because the end is justified by the means for you… denied a 4 month old, breastfed baby for the pre-existing condition of obesity.

I hope you are happy with your creation.

Why is it wrong or controversial for the President to add his own paragraph to an intelligence briefing?

In another discussion with Lil Mike, I’ve come to realize that I just talk to freaking much-LOL.. But seriously, it struck me that if he doesn’t understand.. then maybe others don’t see the big deal either, and that scares me. If we could for once.. just once take the political party out of the equation and base our verdict on the facts, I don’t think any of us would see things differently.. But we can’t take the (R) and the (D) out of the equation because then our entire world crumbles when we find out we’ve been duped and in the end supported a lie. Where we should be angry at the one who made us into the fool, we are angry at ourselves and not many of us like the idea that we were taken for a ride. It’s why ponzie schemes work so well.. Who wants to admit that they really believed the 40% return they were promised was real and legal..

I wrote a blog the other day

The special powers an (R) next to your name gives you…

In it, I talk about the mess we find ourselves in today, the news that the Investigators General found that the White House inserted it’s own wording into a threat assessment from the CIA and then used that paragraph to enact an unconstitutional doctrine..

To explain it more would take to much space and this reply isn’t about the paragraph as much as it’s about how that deceitful act is more detrimental to the principals this country was build on.. Life,Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness then anything we’ve seen so far.

Once again, my reply to Mike..

“That[inserting of the paragraph] opens a whole can of worms, but the actual paragraph, I don’t find a lie or contraversal. Do you? How would that change anything?”

The easiest 1st.. How does it change anything? If the White House is allowed to make up what they want, to get what they want.. how does that NOT change anything? Please explain how you support any President doing this? Because I think you are slowly realizing that just because we had an (R) President for awhile, doesn’t mean we will always have an (R) president, we will eventually get a (D) and you can’t be ok with allowing this to continue when a (D) has the precedent..

But more than that… where do you draw the line? The President can make up what he wants for security reasons that hamper constitutional rights… he can hold false PC hearings that tell us the ‘news’ he wants us to hear… he can use ‘plants’ to steer the topics of real PC’s to the direction he wants.. where do you draw the line? You don’t like the MSM being liberal, but you’re ok with the complete fabrication coming from your oval office?

Now the other part of your justification…that you don’t find it a lie… How do you know this paragraph is true? Because it fits in with your opinion?

Had it been true (or a true threat) the CIA would have put it in there right? But they didn’t find anything like that so, the White House made it up.. at that time atleast, you were made to believe a falsehood that the Oval office told you.. and worse than that.. that falsehood was then used to convince you the NSA program (and so many others just because of the butterfly effect-) was needed, because that statement saying it was needed, was also inserted falsely..

In this instant, I won’t make your head swim at how much of a can of worms it is because I don’t think you would ever acknowledge it.. but in this instant, you..we were hoodwinked.

Bush/Cheney wanted the NSA program.. we’ll leave off the ulterior motives for that right now and just stick to that.. They wanted it and asked the CIA to give them a reason.. The CIA did what it was supposed to do, it investigated and put together a threat assessment. But, it wasn’t threatening enough to get Bush/Cheney what they wanted so they made up their own assessment and then used what they made up to bring to Congress and the American ppl to get that NSA program..

I really can’t believe you don’t see the implications of this. I don’t care whats going on in the world.. a President of the United States cannot make up a story, attach the CIA’s name to that story… and then steal rights from the citizens of the country because of that story.. That’s not what this country is build upon!

I won’t get into the problems this creates for the CIA… but take a minute and think about that…

Let’s look at the broad implications.. If, as you say, the paragraph was true then how can anything from the CIA ever be useful again? If they can’t get the threat right, and it takes someone from the White House..(and we both know there might be 2 people in the White House who would know as much as the CIA on any given intelligence assessments)..but if it takes someone from the White House to see the real threats and tell people about it, then how do we believe anything from our intelligence division again? How can we trust their competence?

Ask yourself this, if it was so true, why didn’t they(the White House) put that paragraph out there themselves? Why did they attach it to the CIA’s briefing. They had to have some intelligence from somewhere saying these things right? So why did they have to put it in a CIA memo? Why didn’t they make the intelligence division who gave them the information, put out their own memo? Who was that intelligence division anyway and why are they to be believed over the CIA?

Or did the White House just make it up?

You can’t ignore those scenarios because they are the only two that exist.

Let’s go farther..
You will admit that the NSA program is a massive invasion of privacy.. one that, in your opinion is needed though..-yes? Well, now you’ve just been told that the CIA did not find reason enough for it and the President made up a reason on his own and stole privacy from the American people.. your reason for it was made up! You may have felt there was a good reason, you may have been happy that the CIA report backed you up.. but the truth is, it didn’t! I may love the idea that a chocolate diet helps me lose weight, but I can’t write my own little paragraph and insert it into Jenny Craig‘s website saying it..

Bring this down to an easier level. You’ve been accused of killing someone. The local PD gets involved and investigates you, sure you look guilty and you probably did do it, but while everything looks bad against you, there really isn’t much to report. At an internal briefing on the status of your case the DA says.. Ok, well I want this guy wire-tapped.. The cops say, “well..we do too, but we can’t find a reason for it” .. So the DA decides to write a paragraph that does implicate you, it’s not based on anyting he’s been told-he just makes it up on the spot and he hands it to the cops and says.. “Now go get your wire-tap. The cops go to a judge and say “Judge, read this paragraph right here, that’s why we need this wire-tap” and the judge says “Ok”..

Is this legal? and more than that..is that what you are saying you are happy to go along with in this country..

Is this what you want your President to do and will you ignore it now that you know what he did?

Is this the level of power you wish to give to the already most power office in the world?

If you want to allow a President and Vice President to arbitrarily make up their own reasons to do things that are unconstitutional…then why are you fighting government run health care.. why are you fighting government run anything?

You didn’t’ serve this country for the last 25 years to allow your president to make up a fantasy to get something he wanted..did you?

I know this is difficult.. because to admit this opens a can of worms that could devour a country. You wouldn’t believe a liar who lied to you, or a thief who stole from you in your personal life.. but to believe this? Wouldn’t this alone make you question.. What else did they do this on?

and I think that is why you will ignore this as a problem, because the answer to that.. is something you don’t want to know..

Let’s face it, larger picture is extremely frightening. How many other times did this happen? Besides just the NSA program, what other things did the White House insert it’s own wording into and then use that wording to get their way on… Is it possible it’s all been a lie or based on a lie? and what do we do about it? To investigate further might tell us the scariest truth we’ve ever dreamed up.. but to ignore it–well, that blesses every President from now until we resemble Russia Circa Stalin, which on that path, would be in our lifetime.

This can’t be what you and thousands of others like you served their country for..your oath didn’t say to protect the President when he lies to get his way-even if you agree with that way… did it?

It always seems like there is something in an (R) and (D) psyche that is almost like they feel if they acknowledge this.. like a house of cards, the whole thing will crumble. But if that house of cards is an illusion built on a lie, why would you want it to stand in the 1st place?

Where is your anger over what was done in your name?

Where is the line? Would it be OK for the Oval Office to make up a threat assessment with the intelligence community’s name on it, that says we must nuke a rival country and then go out on every “Meet the Press” tv show that will have them and promote this insertion?

Where does your tolerance end?
